Who is Ed Lantzer?
Ed Lantzer (1932-2009) spent the last twenty years of his life crafting these thirty 8 foot by 4 foot panels. Many of those years he was living homeless in a abandoned school house in Kalkaska, Michigan. Ed could read, but not write or sketch because he had scarlet fever as a child. Each design was created and calculated entirely in his mind. Ed was a lifetime Bible scholar and has studied Biblical History, cultures and language.
Ed's wishes were that NO ADMISSION FEE could be charged to see the panels and that the homeless must be able to see them.
About the Panels
Every piece in the exhibit is a diamond shape with the exception of one square, which is a tribute to Ed's father, who taught him the craft using 90 degree angles. He cut and glued at least 20,000 half inch diamond pieces of wood for each of the 30 panels. The diamonds are ad-hered to the plywood with Elmer's wood glue. The panels have a variety of finishes to seal them, but no dyes or stains are used. Each piece of wood is its own natural color and there are more than 150 species of wood in the room.

The exhibit is in storage for now, since December 2018.
Please pray that another venue will be found for the panels to be shown. They were meant to be seen.
